December 2025
Thank You for a Remarkable Year
As 2025 comes to an end, we want to express our sincere thanks for your dedication and service. Your work supporting Veterans, strengthening communities, and upholding the spirit of Remembrance continues to make a meaningful and measurable impact across Canada.
As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited to celebrate The Royal Canadian Legion’s Centenary — 100 years of volunteerism, advocacy, and community service. Your Branch plays a central role in marking this historic milestone and ensuring the Legion will remain strong for generations to come.

Legion National Headquarters will be closed from December 24 through January 4 for the Christmas/New Year break
Additionally, the Member Services Website will be down for regular year end maintenance between December 21 at 11:00 pm through the morning of January 5. Online registration, renewal, and member processing will not be available during this time.

January 24, 1927 – A Milestone in Legion History
On this day, The Royal Canadian Legion held its very first Dominion Convention in Winnipeg. By then, the Legion had grown to over 800 Branches nationwide, with more than 20,000 members united in service and remembrance. Provincial Commands had been formalized, and national committees were created to tackle issues important to Veterans, shaping the conversations and decisions that would guide the Legion for years to come.
The 2026 Legion calendar of notable dates is now available! Start planning the dates and activities your Branch will promote, commemorate, celebrate or raise awareness of over the coming year.
