Legion Class Action Against Aviva Canada Insurance

In June 2020, Lerners LLP filed a class-action lawsuit on behalf of Legion Branches against Aviva Insurance for denying coverage of lost business income due to COVID-19. This lawsuit applies to Branches outside of British Columbia.

The next  step in the Class Action is to have Branches with coverage by Aviva provide a notice of claim.  Lerners has prepared a form for completion by Branches with coverage from Aviva.

Please submit your completed form or denial letter through your Provincial Command as soon as possible, as they are required in advance of the Class Action Certification hearing set for 26 April 2021.

For Branches that had previously submitted a claim directly to Aviva, Lerners is requesting a copy of the denial letter if the Branch had not already provided it to Lerners.
