Legion Medals Advisor Supports Veterans and Families
Did you know the Legion has a dedicated Medals Advisor to assist Veterans and their families with retrieving replacement medals and guidance on recovering, identifying, or returning medals?
Major (Retired) W.E. (Gary) Campbell, with 42 years of military service and 16 years of experience, has helped hundreds of Veterans across Canada receive the honours they deserve.
For assistance, contact Gary at veteransservices@legion.ca with "For Medals Adviser" in the subject line.

Direct mail renewal campaign
This month, we mailed out membership renewal reminders to 38,000 members who have not yet renewed for 2025.
Now is a great time for Branches to reach out to their lapsed members and invite them to renew and help the Legion continue our mission to support Veterans, Remembrance, and our country. Let’s work together to bring back our members and keep our mission strong!

PR Tip of the Month:
Engage volunteers regularly
While there are regular volunteers we may see and hear, there are others with PR skills who could be engaged. Find out proactively and regularly what your volunteers can do and let them help with things like event planning or website design.

LIBERATION!: Canada and the WW II fight to free the Netherlands
In the fall of 1944, Canadian troops led bitter fighting to secure access to the critical port of Antwerp, freeing the Scheldt estuary and the approaches to a key supply hub as Allied forces prepared to enter Germany and bring the Second World War to an end.
The Scheldt victory also liberated a sliver of the occupied Netherlands, but more epic combat lay ahead. Ultimately, the year 1945 will prove a happy one, as the sufferings of the Dutch populace, ravaged by almost five years of hardship and a bitterly cold winter of starvation, are brought to a bloody end.
