Take the five‑second survey
Pandemic guidelines and restrictions are impacting Legions across the country. Take this single-question, multiple choice survey to let us know if your Branch is currently open to members and the public.
If you responded in March, please take the survey again so we can see how Branches are doing each month.
A Dominion Contvention Update.
The Dominion Convention is going virtual
Due to COVID‑19, the Dominion Convention originally scheduled for August 12–19 in Saskatoon will now be held virtually on August 13–15. Full details explaining on how the Convention will operate will be sent out in the Convention Call at the end of this month.
Verify your Branch address
Visitors to the website can search for a Legion Branch location and contact information on our Branch Locator. Please check our Branch Locator to confirm the information posted for your Branch is correct.
If your Branch mailing address is different than your physical address, or if other information needs to be updated, please inform Member Services at so we can update our website.
On being a Legion member
If you ask a Legion member what it means to be part of a group that cares deeply for Veterans, you’ll hear words like “a very positive experience” or “saved my life.” You’ll also hear about fun and comradeship. We spoke to Legion members about their experiences and the work they’re proud to support.
The Legion commits to Wounded Warriors Canada
The Legion’s Ontario Command, its Branches, and Ladies’ Auxiliaries have made a crucial donation to Wounded Warriors Canada to help continue its work to pair more Veterans with life-changing service dogs who help support Veterans’ mental health.
Last chance: Help your Legion grow
Encourage your members to refer family and friends to the Legion for a chance to win! New members can join your Branch online here before April 30 using promo code REFER for a chance to win $500 Canada Post Visa gift cards for both the new and current member.
Keep reminding about renewals
When members renew for the next 5 years before May 30, they’ll receive a free Limited Edition Poppy Watch commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Remembrance Poppy in Canada.
Please let members of your Branch know about this limited time offer!
Encourage members to participate in Canada Army Run
The Royal Canadian Legion is proud to sponsor Canada Army Run – an event that supports our military members and their families. This year’s Canada Army Run will once again be held virtually, and runs September 10-19.
Legion members get a discount of 15% off their registration fee! Encourage your members to sign up in support of Canada’s Veterans at and with promotion code LEGIONFRIENDS.
Get members marching
Each year, the Legion sponsors the Canadian Armed Forces Contingent in the Nijmegen Marches. With the Marches cancelled this year, the Legion is continuing our support by sponsoring the CAF-led Victory March in its place.
Encourage members to join the Victory March May 1-9. Members can sign up with the “The Liberation of the Netherlands” Branch 005 Team here to participate with their fellow comrades.
CAF-DND Sexual Misconduct Class Action Settlement
A class action lawsuit has been initiated against the Government of Canada to compensate Canadian Armed Forces and other military community members who experiences sexual harassment, assault or discrimination while serving.
Please share this information with members at your Branch.
